Research Analyst

We are looking for a motivated research analysist who is exited about research and well versed in data analysis. The responsibilities for the position include:

  • Managing and updating survey database
  • Managing other data files (e.g. Excel, SPPS)
  • Supporting data collection activities (e.g., conducting interviews, conducting surveys online and over the phone surveys, participating in the focus groups; managing contact lists)
  • Research topics using online sources, literature and documents
  • Gather and organize information
  • Data cleaning and preliminary analysis
  • Summary of results (e.g. produce charts, tables and graphs to best represent information)
  • Support senior manager in other research activities

Other Requirements

  • A detail oriented and disciplined individual with a strong desire to learn and grow their professional career.
  • A self-starter who enjoys researching and analyzing data with the ability to interpret and present information
  • Must have good working knowledge of Excel and other data analytical tools
  • Superb time management and analytical and writing skills, with strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Post secondary education and some experience in data collection and analysis
  • Good interviewing skills
  • solid understanding of research methods
  • Outstanding oral and written English skills

Ability to learn quickly and understand the core issues of the subject matter. We work with a wide range of clients and subject matter (e.g. various government agencies and industries, non-profits and private business). Curiosity and ability to quickly understand new program or business operations is very important to be successful in this job.

Management Consultant

We are looking for an ambitious, experienced management consultant to join our corporate family, and help us grow our Vancouver office. As a senior member of our team, you would be responsible for all aspects of the research assignment including:

  • Development of the research frameworks and research methodologies to meet specific project needs
  • Managing implementation of field research (interviews, surveys, focus groups)
  • Collecting data through conducting literature review, documents review, interviews, focus groups, data analysis etc.
  • Analyzing and synthesizing large sets of qualitative and quantitative data
  • Conducting final analysis of data collected and writing well thought out reports and recommendations

Educational Requirement

  • Post secondary degree in social research, business administration, management, statistics and data analysis

Key Skills

  • Excellent strategic thinking skills in addition to ability execute on the details
  • Outstanding research, analytical and writing skills (must have some experience writing consulting or evaluation reports for governments and/or other organizations)
  • Ability to synthesize large sets of data and integrate into meaningful reports and recommendations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment and multi-task
  • Solid understanding of research methodologies
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Must have a good working knowledge of Excel and other data analysis tools (SPSS)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with a diverse set of highly skilled professionals in a team based environment

Other Requirements

  • Experience in program evaluation, consulting and working with government
  • A detail oriented and disciplined individual with a strong desire to learn and grow their professional career
  • Innovative, curious, ambitious and problem-solving personality
  • Fluency in French, and experience in survey technologies is an asset
